We Be Jammin' was established in the mid 1980's by a hard working, dedicated woman named Nanci Drake.  It was started along the Blackwater River near the old Be-Lo shopping center.  In July of 1998, We Be Jammin' took a giant leap when Katherine Barrett donated the land that is now known as Barrett's Landing.  It was completed on March 31, 1999 in which We Be Jammin' was then moved to its present location at Barrett's Landing.  We Be Jammin' is now held every Thursday night starting in May, running through September.

WBJ LogoIn 2008 was launched to capture treasured moments from the summer concert series. and are owned an operated by Insercorp LTD, a Website Design and Development company that is headquartered in Franklin, VA. Insercorp provides the and website as a service to the Community in Franklin. "We Be Jammin Summer Concert Series'" and the We Be Jammin "Toadily Jammin" frog logos are used with permission from the Downtown Franklin Association.

In 2010 we expanded our online coverage of We Be Jammin to include a Facebook Fan Page including event reminders.  You can become a fan of We Be Jammin' by liking and following us on We Be Jammin's Facebook Fan Page.

2012 WeBeJammin.comIn 2012, we created and launched the "WBJ" brand to offer an easily recognizable logo which reflects the music setting and creates consistency. 

To promote the concert series and its performers year round while being informative to website visitors about upcoming performances we designed the all new which included social engagement through Facebook commenting on our photo gallery and a more streamlined website interface for easy navigation and interaction.

We also expanded our agreement with the Downtown Franklin Association for Insercorp to design and distribute pocket schedules for We Be Jammin' Summer Concert Series including coupon inserts to raise revenue, half of which Insercorp may donate back to the DFA.

2017 marked the 9th year that Insercorp partnered with DFA to promote the We Be Jammin' Summer Concert Series.  Insercorp's mission is to strengthen the communities we serve by providing value with the content we serve to millions of people year round.  This website allows us to share happy monents while promoting talent from across our Region, Greater Hampton Roads including the 757, 434, and 252. 

We serve our community by providing outstanding services to get people excited about and attending this local, family-friendly event. That is why Insercorp decided to give a much needed responsive upgrade (making it accessible from all devices - from desktops to tablets and smartphones) and website re-design!

The new now better represents Downtown Franklin's summer concert series while displaying information (such as who will be playing next) in an organized manner. In addition to the "Sponsors" page, also features a new page called "Advertise With Us", which provides visitors/business owners with viable information on the many ways that they can advertise with WBJ.
